The Poetry of Objects: Still Life Creations
Wednesday January 8, 2025 8:30am - 11:05am PST
This class is an immersive journey into the art of still life drawing. In this class, we will delve into the silent narratives that everyday objects can tell. Much like a poet finds meaning in every word, we will discover the beauty and stories concealed within the objects that surround us.

Students will learn basic drawing techniques, and work with a variety of drawing materials. We will look at examples from art history for inspiration and guidance. Through the careful arrangement of objects, lighting, and composition, we will uncover the beauty in the mundane.

If you’re someone who loves to draw, this is a great class for you. If you’re someone who is afraid to draw, this is also a great class for you! Come and learn the basics, or continue to hone your skills. You'll be encouraged to unleash your inner poet, and create visual verses with pen and pencil!
